Did you know? Vancouver International Airport (YVR) offers quick and affordable flights daily to Terrace, BC (YXT). Check your skis or snowboard and land in just an hour and a half. Book your rental car ahead of time for convenient pick-up at the Northwest Regional Airport (YXT) then drive to the accommodation of your choice.

Travelling from Calgary, AB? WestJet now offers direct flights from Calgary on a daily basis, making your visit to Terrace fast and easy. If you are planning a road trip to Terrace, make sure to watch for road conditions as you plan your drive along one of the most scenic roads in Northern BC.

Did you know? Terrace is home to Canada’s first non-profit community service ski co-operative - My Mountain Co-op which operates the best little ski hill in the west, Shames Mountain. Boasting 1,600 vertical feet, Shames Mountain is located just 35 km west of Terrace. With a chair lift and T-bar that gives you access to more than 30 runs ranging from easy greens to incredible double black diamonds – Shames has it all. If you are travelling with kids, be sure to check out the new tube run accessed by its convenient conveyor lift.

Looking to hit up our epic backcountry snow? The Shames Mountain ski area is surrounded by more than 7,000 acres of limitless back-country adventures. Back-country skiing and heli-skiing are world-renowned in our neck of the woods. Looking for more fun-filled winter activities?  Our snow conditions are perfect for snowmobiling, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing – check out the Snow Valley Nordic Ski Club to check out their great network of trails.
