Fishing Regulations
Check local fishing regulations and license rules as there are numerous changes to regulations every year. You can pick up your fishing license at one of our fishing and tackle shops throughout Terrace. If you need gear, drop in to the Terrace Visitor Centre and borrow a trout or salmon rod and tackle box for free!

Access to the water is simple! Cast your line into the Skeena from the banks of Ferry Island, or launch your boat at one of the area’s boat launches:

- Located approximately 21 km north of Terrace along Nisga’a Highway

- Located at bridge over Kalum River and Highway 16
Fisherman’s Boat Launch
- Located on east side of Kalum River

Kitsumkalum Band Boat Launch
- Located on west side of Kalum River (see may apply)

Exstew River Boat Launch
- Located approximately 35 km west of Terrace on Highway 16 West at Exstew River
- Launch is gravel on west side of river
Andesite Boat Launch
- Located approximately 41 km west of Terrace along Highway 16 West on the south side of the highway
- Launch is gravel
Exchamsiks River Boat Launch
- Located approximately 54 km west of Terrace along Highway 16 West at the Exchamsiks River in the Provincial Park on the west side of the river
- Launch is paved
Kasiks River Boat Launch
- Located approximately 78 km west of Terrace along Highway 16 West at Kwinitsa Creek on the south side of the highway
- Launch is gravel and limited tidal influence
Khyex Boat Launch
- Located approximately 104 km west of Terrace along Highway 16 West on the south side of the highway
- Launch is gravel and tidal
