Day 1

Winter fishing

Winter fishing is a spectacular experience. Cast your line for some catch and release fishing on one of the many regional rivers including the mighty Skeena.

Snowmobiling

Rev up for a great time exploring the hills around Terrace. The two main riding areas with groomed trail access are Sterling Mountain and South Douglas.

access back country terrain and deep snow are in for a treat with other popular areas including Trapper Mountain, Copper Mountain, Anweiler Ridge, Big Cedar, Sleeping Beauty and Bolton Ridge.

Day 3

Heli-skiing

Want to skip the chairlift and get right to the deepest powder in the region? There are two heli-skiing options based out of Terrace that can get you to the top of untracked snow in minutes.

Northern Escape Heli-skiing and White Wilderness Heli-skiing offer tour packages or one-day flights. With some spectacular luxury mountain lodges for an overnight option, they have you covered for your once-in-a-lifetime big powder experiences.

Day 4

Winter biking or snowshoeing

Who says winter means you have to put your bike away? Got a fat bike for winter riding? The Snow Valley Nordic Ski Club at Onion Lake has a 5-km loop specifically for snowshoeing and fat bikes.

If you are looking for a really unique self-catered experience, try booking the Moose Hut – a user maintained rustic cabin located about a 1-hour ski from the parking lot.
