There’s no better place to taste the season than at the Skeena Valley Farmers Market.
Fall is one of our favourite seasons in the Skeena Valley. It’s when local farmers, makers and bakers show off the fruits of their labours with their fall harvest. If you’re visiting Terrace, there’s no better place to taste the season than at the Skeena Valley Farmers Market — open every Saturday morning until the end of October.
THE place to be in Terrace on Saturday mornings
This amazing local market is THE place to be in Terrace on Saturday mornings. Picture more than 75 vendors featuring everything from hearty potatoes and crisp apples to locally grown leeks, brussels sprouts and carrots, everything you need for your holiday or harvest table. Combine that with live music, food trucks and a playground for the kiddos, and it’s the perfect way to savour the best locally produced foods of the season.

Fall harvest time
Fall harvests also mean it’s canning season, so you’ll find lots of homemade preserves like pickled carrots, and salsas to homemade jams and jellies. It’s a great place to stock your pantry or for gifting a little taste of Terrace to friends and family.
Supporting local food producers
We’re big fans of supporting regional bakers, makers, growers and farmers. Supporting local food producers is an important part of creating sustainable food systems. Every purchase helps strengthen local economy and supports a thriving, resilient tourism sector rooted in our connection to the land.
We have you covered
Don’t forget, now’s the time to get your baking pumpkins and your Jack-O-Lanterns for Halloween. Fall also means it’s time to plant your seed garlic for the next season. The Skeena Valley Farmers Market has you covered on both of those!
Celebrate the harvest
So pull out your favourite flannel jacket, find your best beanie, grab your reusable bags, and head downtown this Saturday to celebrate the harvest, support local producers and taste the true flavours of the Skeena Valley.
