Get your golf on
Terrace is the perfect home base for both river fishing and charters on the ocean. Depending of what time of the year you are visiting, you can cast your line for an array of salmon species including Sockeye, Chinook, Coho or even Steelhead.
If you are looking for some expert advice, check in with a licensed fishing guide such as West Coast Fishing Adventures, The Skeena Spey Lodge or Nicholas Dean. Many local guides not only take you out for incredible fishing, but offer beautiful lodging, catering and exceptional northern hospitality.
Experience the rich cultural history of the greater Terrace area. Explore the downtown core and see any number of murals that have been painted in collaboration with Indigenous peoples from around the region.
Take a visit up to Coast Mountain College where you can see Waap Galts’ap (the Community House) or visit the All Nations pole in the centre of campus. You can find gifts made by Indigenous artists at the Terrace Art Gallery, Red Raven Gallery and Sandpiper’s Boutique.
Located just west of Terrace in the community of Kitsumkalum, stop in at the House of Sim-Oi-Ghets, a long-house inspired building where you’ll find all sorts of works by regional artisans and connect with folks from the community to learn more. You can also find a towering totem pole there.
