Shop Local 2026 Passport Sign-up

Dear Merchants,

Winter is when Terrace shines. As we invite visitors and locals to discover the WOW of Terrace this season, Shop Local puts our downtown businesses right at the heart of it.

Registration is open now until November 6. Sign up your business using the webform and be sure to read all of the contest details!

Contest Details

  • The campaign runs November 9 to December 22.
  • Patrons collect a stamp in their passport when they make a purchase at a participating business. No minimum purchase required.
  • Patrons need at least 10 stamps to enter the draw. Every 5 purchases beyond that earns an additional entry.
  • One passport per person. Passports cannot be combined.
  • Tourism Terrace will provide your Shop Local stamp along with your passports. Stamps will be collected at the end of the campaign and remain the property of Tourism Terrace.
  • If you are handing in passports on behalf of customers, they must be dropped off at the Terrace Visitor Centre by 5 p.m. on December 22. There are no exceptions, as the draw takes place that evening.
  • A list of participating businesses will be posted at visitterrace.com/shop-local, and each passport includes a QR code linking to it.

What’s Involved

  • Registration fee: $75, invoiced by Tourism Terrace. Register by November 6 to receive your stamp and passports and be listed as a participating business.
  • Passports, window clings, and stamps will be dropped off at your business the week prior to the contest start.
  • Prize donation: merchandise valued at a minimum of $100 for the prize baskets (please make sure it reflects your business). Prizes will be picked up on when we drop off your passports, window clings and stamps.

Free Social Media Workshops

New this year, participating merchants can attend a free social media workshop to help promote their business and the campaign. Choose your session when you sign up, and we’ll confirm your spot by email.

Incentives for Participation

  • Over $5,000 in advertising provided by Tourism Terrace and TDIA.
  • The merchant who shares the most creative and unique posts promoting the event will win back their $75 registration fee, plus a surprise for you and your staff. Show us what makes your shop part of the WOW of Terrace this winter!

Bonus for 2026 Participants: Free Social Media Workshop

New this year, Tourism Terrace is hosting a hands-on social media workshop for Shop Local businesses. Attend yourself or send the person who runs your social media. Bring a phone or laptop and leave with a plan. We’ll work through what to post during the campaign, how to make the most of your Shop Local window cling and passport stamp, and simple ways to turn passport traffic into followers and repeat customers.

This is a working session, not a lecture. You’ll get one-on-one help setting up your posts, tightening your profiles, and building a content plan that fits your schedule.

Location: Tourism Terrace boardroom, Terrace Visitor Centre, 4511 Keith Ave

Space is limited to six businesses per session, so spots are first come, first served. We’ll confirm your spot by email.
