Job Title: Visitor Services Manager

Reports to: Executive Director

Summary:

 

The Visitor Services Manager at Tourism Terrace is a pivotal role, providing strategic leadership to the Visitor Centre. This position drives business results, fosters positive relations with members, and ensures the overall success of the Visitor Centre. This role offers an opportunity for a dynamic individual to lead transformative change in the vibrant tourism industry.

 

Job Duties:

 

Customer Service Excellence:

  • Ensure exceptional customer service at the Visitor Centre, driving superior business results.

  • Monitor and surpass sales targets.

 

Strategic Leadership:

  • Provides leadership to the Visitor Centre team.

  • Liaise with the Executive Director to ensure strategic alignment.

 

Relationship Management:

  • Foster productive relations with visitors, vendors for the Visitor Centre

 

Team Development:

  • Mentor the Visitor Centre team, facilitating product knowledge.

  • Provide leadership for summer employees program, ensuring maximum coverage and support.

 

Operations:

  • Coordinate building maintenance, manage the Visitor Centre, and oversee vendor agreements.

 

Human Resources:

  • Create a high-performance culture within the Visitor Centre.

  • Establish clear goals and foster communication with Visitor Centre staff working under the direction of the Executive Director.

  • Plan and manage incentives for the Visitor Centre.

 

Personal Attributes:

  • Adaptable, positive, and patient in a changing environment.

  • Solution-focused and supportive of the team.

  • Excellent project management and time management skills.

  • Diplomatic, with strong negotiation and conflict resolution abilities.

  • Proactive, results-oriented, and self-motivated.

Working Conditions:

  • This is a full-time position.

 

Salary range offered:

  • $22.00 - $30.00/hr depending on experience.
