Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge

Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge Ltd.

Sheltered by the Pacific Coast Mountain Renges to the south of the Alaska panhandle on British Columbia's wild North Coast, lies the K'tzim-a-deen (Khutzeymateen) Inlet.  Here, within the traditional territory of the Tsimshian Nations, lives a healthy and indomitable population of coastal Grizzly Bears.

Located with this unique Conservancy and Grizzly Bear Sanctuary, the Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge is your home and gateway to view these magnificent animals in a natural and unspoiled wilderness area.

Plan your day around bear viewing, visiting waterfalls, kayaking or paddle boarding in this unspoiled coastal inlet. Enjoy our locally sourced fresh food menu. Spend the evening relaxing at the lodge after a sauna, strum a guitar, or snuggle up with a good book around the campfire. Fall asleep to the cry of an eagle and the splash of a seal while indulging in the comfort of a comfortable bed under a warm duvet.

Khutzeymateen Wilderness Lodge is the only permitted lodge within the Khutzeymateen Protected Area. Our floating lodge offers an opportunity to enjoy all the comforts of home with plenty of room to stretch out and take in the awe-inspiring neighbourhood.

We off both day tours and overnight excursions and want to build a tour to suit your needs. Spend the day in the Khutzeymateen or better yet get away from it all and spend the night or a week!

Let's discuss your schedule, group size, and any other special requirements to ensure we can put a tour package together designed for you.

Join us for a trip to this secluded North Coast inlet to observe Grizzly Bears in their natural environment from the guided safety and comfort of an unobtrusive boat tour cruising the shorelines.
