Kleanza Creek Prov. Park

Kleanza Creek Prov. Park

Open from May to September and only 19 km east of Terrace, this is a popular spot for locals and visitors. It is usually booked every week-end but does not take reservations, so get there early!

Amenities include:

  • Outhouses
  • Water
  • Basketball hoop
  • Wheelchair accessible areas
  • Picnic/Day-Use area
  • Pets allowed on leash (with exception to the tidal pool area)

Of historical significance, Kleanza means “gold” in the Gitxsan language and influenced the early history of the park site as it was the focus of gold seekers at the turn of the last century. There’s a trail that follows the creek where once there were placer mining works further up the valley. This park has 32 vehicle/tent sites.
