Northwest BC’s Colours Have a Beauty All Their Own
Take a drive to one of the many Northwest BC Parks this weekend to see the magnificent colours of spring. From wildflowers to the Western Sandpiper, the landscape is awash with greens, yellows, pinks, blues and oranges. Now is the best time to see these beautiful colours as the forests are starting to fill in.
Birdwatching in Northwest BC
This region is a haven for birds because of the many wetlands, bogs, marshes, estuaries and lakes. Some of the bird species to observe include the Bald Eagle, Red-tailed Hawk, Golden-crowned Sparrow, Blue Jay, Western Grebe, Peregrine Falcon, Great Horned Owl, Northern Hawk Owl, Turkey Vulture, Great Blue Heron, Rufous Hummingbird, Trupmpeter Swan, Western Sandpiper, Red-throated Loon to name a few.
