Rock Climbing

Terrace has the natural gift that many other communities would love to have.  Our region is blessed with pristine granite towering walls.  Terrace is a rock climber’s natural paradise.  Copper Mountain consists of several 5 – 6 length pitches as well as single natural and sport routes.  Some of the more challenging longer routes have distinct mix sport and traditional climbing with names such as Rendezvous and Renaissance.   Visit the Dihedrals and climb Power Tower, Blade Runner, Sanctuary or Zeus – the king of crack climbing.  Outstanding climbing that will attract climbers from far and wide.  The area also hosts several smaller crags such as Kitselas, Onion Lake, Kalum, and the Traxx.  Other longer walls include Extew and Kermode Wall – both are about a 45 min. drive west of Terrace.  If you love rock climbing Terrace is the place to be by far in the Northwest Region of BC.  Our climbing season can stretch from March – Oct. with guiding and instructional services available in the region.
