Libraries

Terrace offers rich educational facilities and is home to two post-secondary institutions - University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) and Northwest Community College (NWCC).  Students from all over access hundreds of specialized programs and continuing education courses that are offered year round.

Terrace Public Library

The first library was established in Terrace in 1929. It was located in several locations over the years until it found its permanent home in 1967 at its present location in Lower Little Park.

As a key community space, the Terrace Public Library's core mandate is to provide access to information and knowledge, both written and electronic.

The Terrace Public Library seeks to inspire the spirit of exploration, the joy of reading, and the pursuit of knowledge for people of all ages and backgrounds, beginning with the very young.
